"Mobi-Lens is a device that sets the user imagination free."   The new era of photography has presented us with a million innovative ways to edit, alter, and share images. Inspired by this wave of creativity, we decided to design our very own photography tool and BOOM, just like that, Mobi-Lens was born .  Mobi-Lens is a patent pending accessory used to enhance and enrich your personal photography, with your choice of a 2 in 1 wide angle/macro lens  or a fisheye lens .   Here Is How It Works: Mobi-Lens simply clips onto your device, kind of like a chip bag clip or a clothespin, and you can adjust it accordingly to match up with your camera lens and fit properly with the width of your device (*camera frame may vary on mobile devices depending on thickness of some phone cases -- it is recommended to use Mobi-Lens without a phone case for best picture results). Mobi-Lens is strong enough to clamp onto your device so that it will securel...

Google Offers 3-D Version of Google Map San Francisco (CNN) -- Google unveiled some upgrades to its mapping software on Wednesday ahead of Apple's expected announcement that it will ditch Google Maps on iPhones and iPads in favor of its own technology. At a news conference at its San Francisco office, Google previewed a handful of upcoming features , including the ability to use Google maps without an Internet connection. Android users will be able to take maps offline from more than 100 countries and access them when they're out of Wi-Fi range or on the subway, for example. "No longer will you need paper maps," said Rita Chen, a product manager for Google. The offline mode is expected to become available for Android devices within a few weeks. There was no word on whether that feature will extend to other devices, such as the iPhone. Apple, however, is expected to announce at its developers conference next week that it's dropping Goo...

Li-Fi The Optical Version Of Wi-Fi LiFi (LightFidelity) is a fast and cheap optical version of WiFi, the technology of which is based on Visible Light Communication (VLC). VLC is a data communication medium, which uses visible light between 400 THz (780 nm) and 800 THz (375 nm) as optical carrier for data transmission and illumination. It uses fast pulses of light to transmit information wirelessly. The main components of this communication system are 1) a highbrightness white LED, which acts as a communication source and 2) a silicon photodiode which shows good response to visible wavelength region serving as the receiving element. LED can be switched on and off to generate digital strings of 1s and 0s. Data can be encoded in the light to generate a new data stream by varying the flickering rate of the LED. To be more clear, by modulating the LED light with the data signal, the LED illumination can be used as a communication source. As the flic...

What desktop device enables a jewelry designer to manufacture one of a kind designer earstuds and pendants from a CAD file? What device helps the Smithsonian Museum to make hifidelity copies of sculptures to be lent to other museums? How can a highfidelity prototype of a complex mechanical component be created quickly? How can the creative ideas of an architect or designer be converted quickly, accurately and cheaply into a 3D model? What machine can print out human organs such as a blood vessel or a tooth? The answer to all these questions is the 3D printer. A technology that is only gradually becoming popular in the twentyfirst century, 3D printers have attracted the attention of industries  such as mechanical and aeronautical engineering, product designers, architects, and toy manufacturersas well as individuals such as jewelry designers, hobbyists and teachers. The Printing Process The basic process of 3D printing starts with the creation...

Trillions of new net addresses now possible   The new system is necessary to prevent the internet running out of available addresses for new devices. Experts said users should not notice any difference in their web use, and new devices should be using the new system as standard. Companies such as Google, Facebook and major internet service providers have enabled the new system in order to encourage the widespread adoption of the standard. The actions come as part of World IPv6 Launch Day , a special event organised by the Internet Society. IPv6 will eventually replace IPv4, which was conceived during the early days of the internet. It only allows just over four billion unique IP addresses - the sequences of numbers used to identify a device. Each internet-enabled device - such as a computer, tablet or smartphone - needs its own IP address in order to connect to the internet. However, due to the shortage of IP addresses, many devices - such as multiple computer...

A Bangladeshi hacker group have attacked 20,000 Indian websites, including that of the Border Security Force (BSF), after the alleged killing of Bangladeshis by Indian border guards. The group calling itself 'Bangladesh Black HAT Hackers' wrote on its Facebook fan page: 'India hacked our 400 sites in total, we hacked 20,000 sites in total since the war started.' According to Xinhua, the group claimed the BSF website was damaged after being hacked. Last week, a group of hackers named 'Indian Cyber Army' attacked the websites of five ministries in Bangladesh and that of a trade organisation. The Bangladeshi hackers said their action was in response to the alleged killings by BSF along the more than 4,000-km-long Indo-Bangladesh border. 'We don't have any personal issues with Indians. But the brutality of BSF as well as Indian government has forced us to do this,' the hackers wrote on Facebook SOURCE

Rezero is the name of a unique Ballbot, able to balance and drive on a single sphere. Especially designed for high acceleration, it moves in a very organic and elegant way. Rezero is the first Ballbot prototype which is able to show the full capacities of a Ballbot. BALLBOT A Ballbot moves on a single ball, not on wheels. This is both astonishing and creates a new means of mobility for robots. A Ballbot can move spontaneously in any direction and does so in a manner as smooth and elegant as a figure skater on ice. Whether used as a guide, a toy, a service robot or a daily aid, a Ballbot can prove its potential in a narrow, varying and crowded environment. View Official Website

Capacitive touch screen :   The capacitive touch screen is made up of a glass panel that is coated with a material. The property of this material is that it can store electrical charge. So the capacitive touchscreens basically stores electrical charge. But for good, Human body can also store charge. So, when you touch this screen with your finger, some of these charges on the screen gets transferred to your finger. The oscillator circuits located at the corner of your system will then sense this decrease in the charge on screen and the spot the exact location where touch occurred, and then transfers this specified information to the touchscreen driver software.     Resistive touch screen :   Resistive touch screen, on the other hand is again made up of normal glass panel. However, this glass panel in this case is coated with three layers. Two of these layers being conductive and resistive are kept apart using spacers while the third scratch-resistant l...

Double buffering is an extremely powerful concept that has helped make some of today’s flicker-free animation and game play possible. It reduces flicker by performing all the graphics functions on a hidden image that resides in memory instead of drawing directly to the screen. Then, the entire image is dis- played all at once instead of having to update the screen every time a new bit of graphics is drawn. If we removed the double buffering technique from our applet, you would see the screen flicker every time the text moved even a little bit. (As an experiment, you might want to try changing the applet code so that the double buffering gets disabled.) If we were drawing any extra graphics or additional text, you would also see flickers for each of those events. These flashes and flick- ers occur because the screen is updated multiple times during the drawing of the object and the Applet class’ paint() method clears the screen before it redraws it. With text, the screen...
